October 2019

The art of Muhammed Muheisen is a full circle; documenting through his lens, sharing the stories, names and dreams of the people in his photography with various audiences and helping through Everyday Refugees Foundation which he founded back in 2015.
Last October in Cyprus, Muhammed was invited by ITechCapital to give a talk at the iTechTalk Conference about his experience. A new environment, a new audience, people from all over the industries, tech minds, investors, businesspeople.
Muhammed saw a chance to show these group of talent another world than theirs. Through his talk he explained how can each one of us can make a difference. How sometimes it is good to look at the other side and see something you normally can’t see.
Among others Muhammed’s photographs are about happy moments of people under challenging circumstances, Muhammed explains: “The people who I met and photographed, they have nothing but they are the most givers and seem to be the happiest”. Sharing the message with new audiences is important to Muhammed: “It opens eyes for the people who can make a difference.”
I used to define a photograph as a frozen in a moment of time. Until I discovered Muhammed’s art, where I realized photography is the delivery of a timeless message of people, scenery and anything in-between. But not until I met Muhammed himself, where I became aware that the message of his art doesn’t just stop there, he continues to keep the story going, making sure the circle is fully rounded.
