‘Bearing Witness’ in The Netherlands

The extraordinary photo exhibition ‘Bearing Witness’ was on display in The Hague. Bearing Witness is a collection of unique photographs taken by world-renowned photojournalists and changemakers: Muhammed Muheisen, a two-time Pulitzer Prize winner, and Howard G. Buffett, Chairman and CEO of the Howard G. Buffett Foundation. They took visitors on a visual journey of 40 untold stories spanning 25 years from different parts of the world. Through this exhibition, they aim to create greater awareness, challenge stereotypes, and amplify the voices of those photographed.
The official opening and display of “Bearing Witness” photo exhibition took place at Sociëteit De Witte from 21 – 23 June, “Bearing Witness’ was on display for seven weeks, from July 2 until August 16, at The Hague City Hall – Atrium.

For the first time in the Netherlands, ‘Bearing Witness’ photo exhibition by Muhammed Muheisen, a two–time Pulitzer Prize winner and Howard G. Buffett, photographer and Chairman and CEO of the Howard G. Buffett Foundation.
Bearing Witness is a selection of images that spans over three decades from 30 countries. A visual journey of moments in time that shows life amid chaos, the destruction, the human misery, and the resilience of those who got caught in the middle of it. Even in the middle of the conflict, life never stops but keeps going. Life goes on.
The official opening ceremony of “Bearing Witness” took place on Friday March 8. Muhammed Muheisen and Howard G. Buffett both attended this special event.
Bearing Witness photo exhibition is a documentation of major events that took place and are recorded in history through the lens of the two photojournalists Howard G. Buffett and Muhammed Muheisen.
