2023 National Geographic Explorers Festival

During the 2023 National Geographic Explorers Festival in Washington DC, Muhammed Muheisen received a National Geographic Wayfinder Award. Wayfinder Award recipients are individuals who have proven themselves to be the next generation of influential leaders, communicators, and innovators whose critical work inspires us to learn about, care for, and protect the wonder of our world.
The festival took place at the National Geographic headquarters in DC from 12 – 15 June 2023. Muheisen delivered a spotlight presentation as well a 10-minute stage performance “Changing the World One Picture At a Time”.
