The Rest of the Story — Photo Exhibition

Officially inaugurated in Istanbul, Türkiye, on Saturday, 8 November, in the presence of Her Excellency Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş, Minister of Family and Social Services, and His Excellency Davut Gül, Governor of Istanbul, the photo exhibition “The Rest of the Story” is open to the public.
‘The Rest of the Story’ presents a collection of photographs by Muhammed Muheisen, a two-time Pulitzer Prize-winning photographer and founder of the Everyday Refugees Foundation and Mehmet Aslan. Organized by WEFA International Humanitarian Relief Organization, the exhibition is hosted at the Rami Library, one of Istanbul’s most prominent cultural institutions.
The exhibition features visual narratives from around the world, highlighting the lives of people affected by conflict, displacement, and humanitarian crises. Each image reflects stories of hope, courage and resilience, offering audiences a deeper understanding of the human experience behind global headlines.
The day after the official opening, Muhammed Muheisen shared his personal journey and experiences with the audience, offering deeper insight into the stories behind his photographs.
The exhibition will remain open to visitors until 15 November 2025, inviting the public to engage with these powerful stories that transcend borders and remind us of our shared humanity.
