Beauty Beyond the Frontlines – National Geographic Live Tour – United States of America

USA
Spring 2026

Over the past weeks, Muhammed Muheisen traveled across the United States as part of the National Geographic Live tour, sharing Beauty Beyond the Frontlines with audiences in various states

The tour began in Fort Myers, Florida, at the Tribby Arts Center, where an engaged audience gathered for an evening of storytelling that looked beyond headlines to the people behind them.

In West Palm Beach, Florida, at the Kravis Center, the program reached a wide audience through both a matinee for students and parents and an evening presentation. Across both, audiences connected with stories shaped by decades of documenting life on the frontlines—centered on humanity, dignity, and everyday moments often unseen.

In Blacksburg, Virginia, at Virginia Tech University, the experience extended beyond the main stage. Alongside the evening program, Muhammed joined a classroom session with students from the School of Communication.

It is not every day that students meet one of the world’s leading photojournalists, let alone welcome him into their classroom. As a two-time Pulitzer Prize winner and National Geographic Explorer, Muhammed shared stories from war zones and refugee camps—but above all, about the people he has met along the way. He spoke about the responsibility of visual storytelling, and the importance of never losing sight of one’s own humanity.

The evening concluded with a standing ovation, followed by long lines for a meet-and-greet that continued the conversation beyond the auditorium.

Across each city, the tour created moments of connection—bringing stories closer and reminding audiences of the shared humanity that unites us all.
