“Voices” Exhibition

“There are so many stories never been told and many voices never been heard. It is my responsibility to be out there searching for these untold stories to document and share with the world. If something happened and was never documented, it is like it never occurred. Over a decade and a half of my life searching for that. When I’m telling their stories, I’m going through the story of my life. They are part of my life as I am part of theirs”. – Muhammed Muheisen

Muhammed Muheisen’s photo exhibition “Voices” traveled from Sharjah, UAE, to Coimbra, Portugal.

“Voices” is a selection of images that spans over a decade of documenting the daily life and challenges refugees, local communities and internally displayed people face in different parts of the world. Within these images there are people who were forced to leave their homes and hopes, memories and families behind in search for a new, safe place.

Currently on display until July 25 at Museu Municipal de Coimbra during Estação Imagem Award and Festival in Portugal.
