Beauty Beyond the Frontlines – National Geographic Live USA
USA
Spring 2026
Photography isn’t just about capturing moments — it’s about giving voice to the unseen, sharing stories that matter, and reminding us of the humanity we all share.
Beauty Beyond the Frontlines, a new National Geographic Live presentation by two-time Pulitzer Prize-winning photographer and National Geographic Explorer Muhammed Muheisen, is touring cities across the United States this spring. In Beauty Beyond the Frontlines, Muhammed invites audiences to experience conflict not as headlines, but as lived human experiences. His photographs — taken over two decades across Asia, the Middle East, Europe, Africa, and the United States — reveal life in the shadow of war, displacement, and disruption.
From children playing amidst rubble to street vendors making a living under difficult skies, Muhammed’s work finds beauty, resilience, and hope in the ordinary lives of people facing extraordinary challenges. In an era where global crises can feel distant, Beauty Beyond the Frontlines brings the world closer. Muheisen’s work challenges us not just to see, but to feel — and ultimately, to care. This presentation is an invitation to look deeper, to be moved, and to recognize that beyond every conflict line, there are real people whose stories deserve to be heard.
